Kuhn, Smith, Perigo, Starr, and Williamson claim feature events at Path Valley Speedway opener. Bradyn Kuhn, Mikey Smith, Craig Perigo, Parker Starr, and Justin Williamson cruised the Path Valley Speedway circuit for the season opener to each claim a victory in their feature events.
The T.A. Ward construction 270 Micro Sprints were first on the oval with Bailey Green and Zach Glass sitting in the top positions on the wave of green. Third place starter, Bradyn Kuhn pulled by the top runners to claim the lead as Cory Myers and Tyler Brown came from their top five spots to move in behind Kuhn.
Jordon Knable left the circuit with six laps logged. Kuhn held the lead with Cory Myers in his tracks and Brent Shearer coming from ninth position to third place. Craig Myers advanced from eighth to fourth position as the racers ran non-stop till lap fifteen when Mark Snyder entered the pits.
Kolton McAndrew pulled his racer past Tyler Brown to take fifth place where they remained till the checkered flag. Kuhn, Cory Myers, Shearer, Craig Myers, and McAndrew took the top five with Craig Myers displayed the best lap speed traveling 78.234 MPH in 11.504 seconds.
The Macri Concrete 600 Sprints entered the oval with Dakota Sheaffer & Mason Peters at the front. Mikey Smith pulled from third place to the lead on green with Sheaffer, Peters, Jim Young, & Cole Dewease taking control of the top five. Smith & Sheaffer were wheel to wheel by midrace for the top spot when misfortune put Sheaffer into the turn three infield resulting in his racer going to the pits. Smith, Peters, Young, Dewease, & Brian Kramer were now in the top five restart where they remained for six laps till Johnny Smith, Tanner Pressley, & Randy Kunkle Sr. put the pedal down getting by Kramer & competing in the top seven positions. Mikey Smith took the checkered ahead of Peters, Young, Dewease, & Johnny Smith. Dakota Sheaffer had the best lap speed running at 80.928 MPH in 11.121 seconds.
The Cisney Auto Parts Thunder Cars took the green with Jason Erwin & Parker Starr at the helm. Starr pulled ahead on green as Jeremy Eutzy raced from eighth starting position to collect second on two laps. Jake Shoup came from sixth starting spot to pass Jackson Eutzy & Erwin giving him third place, while Cameron Defenderfer also got into the mix, placing his racer into fourth where they remained for five laps. On lap seven, Colby Adams ran into problems, retiring his racer to the pits. Roger Traxler got his racer out of control in turn one, returning to the rear of the field. The restart lineup was Starr, Jeremy Ott, Jake Shoup, Defenderfer & Jackson Eutzy for the top five. Starr led the remaining competitors to the green, holding the top place for five laps before a caution for Jackson Eutzy waved putting him to the rear of the field. Starr continued in the lead till the final lap as Defenderfer, Shoup, Kevin Bard & Jeremy Ott finished for the top five.
**Notification was given that Cameron Defenderfer and Jake Shoup were disqualified adjusting the top five winners as Parker Starr, Kevin Bard, Jeremy Ott, Jeremy Eutzy & Charlie Stallman.
Luke Lenker & Eric Walker were the first thru the gate for the Metzler's Trailer Wingless Super Sportsman Division Feature with Lenker pulling to the lead ahead of Walker, Craig Perigo, Trent Yoder, & Steve Wilbur. The extreme competition was ignited immediately as Lenker & Walker were wheel to wheel, Wilbur pulled from sixth to fourth, Walker took the lead, Perigo pulled to second, Wilbur & Lenker were side by side, & Yoder was heading for a top five position. Craig Perigo pulled beside Walker as they battled with Perigo taking the lead spot. Wilbur was in a dead heat with Walker but Walker held the position, taking second place behind Perigo, followed by Wilbur, Lenker & Yoder. Craig Perigo had the best lap speed clocking at 72.324 MPH in 12.444 seconds.
The evening's events were finalized with the racing of the Strictly Stock division, being escorted to the green by Sam Regitz & Matthew DuVall. Regitz took the lead on green which he held for six laps till the front caught up with the back & an oval traffic jam occurred with Justin Williamson pulling from third to first on lap seven. The congestion put cars in every direction as they worked their way to the front, losing Corbin Rosenberry & Chris Anderson on lap five, Jesse Matney on lap 6 & Dustin Stimeling on lap 12. Williamson held the lead to the checkered with Travis Semple moving from fourth to second after passing Regitz & Tyler Denike & Hunter Flook, finishing out the top five. Regitz had the best lap speed going 64.249 MPH in 14.008 seconds.
Path Valley Speedway will return to racing on March 30th with a power lined agenda of Macri Concrete 600 Sprints; Cisney Auto Parts Thunder Cars; PASS 305 Sprints; Kathy Baker of Coldwell Banker Realty Modifieds; Cordell Construction Limited Late Models, & T.A.
